A month or so ago, I finally found and bought another 12" Signature heavy tom on ebay Germany.

It arrived yesterday, with a badly damaged rim. :( The lug screw nearest the rim damage was backed out several turns, which is not a problem, but is possibly related to the other damage.

Seller has a good reputation. I have contacted him and expect a fair resolution.

Anyone know where I might find another seamless Signature 12" rim?

Gerd from St Drums might have the answer Cliff...

http://www.stdrums.de/

If not, let me know so I can ask other people...

At least the shell and edge are NOT damaged, right?!?
The quickest solution would be to find a hoop, and put the seamless bottom hoop on the top...

No but if you can get in touch with Andrew (alienegypt) he knows a guy who can probably fix the rim. i shipped him a kit and UPS beat on it and bent a rim, he got it fixed to the point where you couldn't tell.
last time I used UPS.
Cliff if you need his info pm me
Sorry about your drum, getting something you are excited about damaged on the way sucks.

I can most likely get you a rim Cliff. Let me know what direction you head in.

Kelly,

You are a lifesaver.

The resolution process with the seller seeme to be at an illogical impasse, and will take more of my time than the purchase of a new hoop is worth. My biggest concern was finding one, and my alternative was repair.

If you know where I can get a seamless Signature hoop, (i) tell me, or, (ii) send it to me and we'll square up.

Goki,

Good thought, but Gerd does not have one.

I haven't dabbled in the chroming world for a while, but my sense is that repairing and re-chroming in a dependable shop would cost the moon. Many folks in the auto business are outsourcing to Mexico, since the EPA doesn't have arms that long.
