Looks like Hostess may fade away. Personally, I'm struggling with the potential loss. It does not seem possible.
Perhaps Twinkies will be deemed too big to fail, in which case we can hope for a U.S. Department of Ding Dongs, who understand how to run an empty-calories snacking business, and who will usher in a change of recipe that substitutes wheat germ and algae for the old corn syrup and goo, so as to lessen the drag on our soon -to-be (if not nipped in the butt) public health care system.
