How is this other than drums? :?

Which one is which? I think I recognize Cliff's passages, and therefor Goki by default.

Charlie sounds good! So do the drummers. I remember how hard it was to play with a second drummer, but you guys sound like you've got it down. :D :D :D

The piece is labelled "32 x 5"

Five times through an AABA structure.

1. head
2. Cliff solo over Goki rhythm
3. Goki solo over Cliff rhythm
4. Cliff solo over Goki rhythm
5. head

co-produced by the 'Walnut Roots Twins'

'other than drums', by Charlie W. Maxwell

Thanks for listening
;)

Thanks, Gunnar.

Charlie was indeed an active participant. From where he was lying, he could see everything that went by the front door, and let us know about it.

Where else are you going to get that?
:? ;)

Funny Gunnar. I've never seen that before.

Cliff, Goki...outstanding piece, really.
Like Greg I cannot do the drummer/drummer thing either. You guys did a fantastic job. My gauge is I don't want to be able to tell there is two different drummers and you guys blend seamlessly.
Really great job.

I got your message over the weekend. We are completed inundated preparing for the influx of family that start arriving today. So sorry I missed you guys.

Somewhere they allow dogs on the deck?

Hell, they allowed dogs at the other place...

...we just pointed out that the sign was an incorrect observation.

Back in NYC again... Back in the wasp nest... :?

Cliff, once again - I can't tell You how happy we were to have the chance to finally meet You, Teri, and Charlie. And spend some quality friend-with-friend time...
For me - this is what the NYC trip was worth for... :) And to have a chance to drum, and record something?!? HURRAY!!!!!!!!!
As for drums - maaaaan. Cliff sure has acquired a lot of drum stuff over the years.
And the best thing: there's not a single item there without a reason. Everything has it's place and purpose.
After all - it's about the sound we hear in our heads, everything else should come second.
Once a drummer finds his/her sound, well - that's it!!! Hooked for life, I guess...

Gregory, Brian - it was beyond pleasure to have a chance to "match a sound with the words and pictures".... ;) How wonderful it was to hear from You guys... :)
I love You all...
Kelly, I know we missed on each other, but it really felt like you were there all the time, trust me!!! Hope You have the best of time with the family this week.... :D

And last but not least - Mike, Ron, Tim, Gunnar, David, Chris, and all the rest of you guys out there - I really hope that I'll at least get a chance to talk to You or see You in the future. I know ALL OF YOU are great people, and above all, huge hearted friends!!!

This place is THE BEST!!!!

Now, back in NYC - a laid back day today, cause we're kinda tired of the trip. And we're saving us for the gig we're gonna see this evening.
Thursday evening is also booked (by Marta) I think, so it looks like the Boston trip is slowly fading away... But still, I hope we'll have a chance to see several more clubs and gigs...
We're done shopping - I think...

Oh Goki, great post. Really hope you and your bride are having the time of your life. As for Cliff, Terry and Charlie, I know they did. They are so easy and enjoyable to be around.
And crap the timing just couldn't be any worse for me. People starting arriving last night and we still have one more guest room to get in order before more arrive tonight.
Safe travels my friend. It will be a long time before I get over the fact you were here and I did not see you. This has been a hope for years and it just flew by....terrible.

Likewise, Goki. ;)

We are both so happy to have finally seen good friends face to face and spend some time together.

Only regret is that we could not get ahold of some congas to get Marta in the mix.

Maybe her turn to shine will come at Havana Central this week. ;)

Hope you both enjoy the rest of the visit in the states.
