If I understand the question correctly, I know I wouldn't.

I'm not going to be looking for it Goki, can you explain what "we also feature" means. If it's too much I'll understand.

You did, Kelly. I wouldn't, and I'm sure most of us here wouldn't either.

Thanks for voicing your thoughts on this. When the sequence of events occurred(Thread Locked, Trip announcement, then the delivery of the all-important carrot) I wasn't at all sure if anyone else(who matters) was even following the whole thing or saw it the way I saw it. And then, I realized that even the folks who were righteously (found out after they spent gobs of money) outraged were at the front of the Kool-Aid line!

I will always repel a faith that is blind, ignorant, arrogant and self fulfilling.
And the person that preaches it.
You'll know them by their fruit. How you treat your fellow human being is always an indicator for me on what road you are traveling.

If I belong to a car club, and we gather weekly to enjoy our cars and fellowship, what is more important....the cars or the people that I am gathering with.

Sorry, probably crossing all kinds of lines here. Back to the subject.....what was the subject??

I used to think sacrifice was a good thing per se, as in the sense of people willing to make sacrifices for the things they valued. Sacrifice has remarkable power, but it is not necessarily good. People will sacrifice to their lusts as well.

This site has clear rules, and two moderators in addition to administration, so that one man's viewpoint or predilections won't run ungoverned. That setup preserves decorum while allowing maximum freedom for discussion.

Just when You thought I had hijacked this thread for good, I'll drag it back on topic:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330603066143

I said I'd love to try one, but only if I could get it for a very good price. How do you think I did? The drum is a month old; I was negotiating with the owner, (an endorser), but he ended up trading it in to Fork's for his Brady. Fork's put it up on eBay, and I was the only bidder! Jason say's it's too loud.

Dunno, but I figure you'll tell us, once you've tried it. :) When the SS kit showed up, quite a few people were disgusted that they couldn't buy that piece without buying the whole kit. Looking forward to your reactions.

Wow - you scored BIG there Brian. I'm sure that the SSmith snare is a fantastic one. Judging by comments, drummer think high of it, like the Benny Greb and the Gavin Harrison snares...

A beautiful thing to have, if You ask me - and the price is fantastic...

Kelly, if I use the PLURAL pronoun, that can only mean :
1) I'm IN THAT business, for some sort of compensation from the company
2) I've completely lost it, and think Horst is my father...

I rule out the second case...
That's the way I see it. I can never use "WE" for SONOR, no matter how much I love their stuff...

Goki,
Thanks! :D If you look to my first post to this thread, you'll see that I really wanted to try one of these out. But with a $1660.00 list, and a $1000 street price, it wasn't going to happen. The days of me spending that kind of coin for a snare drum are long gone. I was actually trying to get this very drum a few weeks ago, but the owner, who had traded his beloved Brady to Fork's for a S Classix kit, had an opportunity to trade this drum to get his Brady back. So, before I could take pics of the drum I was going to trade for it, he messaged me that the drum was already gone. Incidentally, his Brady is cracked and he has to send it back for replacement!
It was this thread that triggered the eBay search. I didn't actually know that Jason was dealing with Forks (and this was the same drum we had discussed) until after I placed my half-hearted bid. After Jason told me that this was his drum and it was only a month old, I got kind of excited about it. I didn't think that I was going to be the only bidder, but Forks could have gotten more money if they had done a better job of describing it.

Weirdly Yours,
:ugeek: Brian

Goki,
Thanks for 'splaining the "we". I went and read that article, burt COMPLETELY missed the absurdity that you alluded to concerning the use of the word "we". While I'd prefer to vote for the second case, I whole-heartedly believe that it's the first! ;)
