Just curious if other folks are getting notices in e-mail when they get a PM? I'm not getting any, even though my preferences are set to do so. I used to get them. I use Google mail if that matters. - D. |

No, David, I don't get alerts, either. |

I don't. Going back to the SM, this site is junk. |

I didn't know what mine was set at. So I went to look. Tooling around in the "Preferences" section I learned I speak "British English" and you can choose board layout, either ProSilver or SubSilver2. Trying the latter, it's different, I guess Prosilver is default. No idea what happened to SubSilver1. |

For nearly 3 years, the board has been getting a couple thousand spambot 'sign-up' attempts per week. It used to be that my email address got a notification of a new 'sign-up', awaiting activation. That stopped. I am guessing that at some point, the forum or the server farm was deemed to be a spam source and, email messages from the forum server have been blocked. Dunno for sure, but that's what I do know, with my theory added. |
