Teri, Charlie and I just finished a nice visit with Kelly and his family. His daughter is even cuter this year than last.

Kelly is buried under a pretty busy personal schedule these days, but still made time for our families to visit together and for he and I to set up play together for quite a while.

Pretty interesting combination of a jazz guy and a rock guy feeding off each others’ ideas, and having a great time in the process.

Kelly’s wife seemed most amazed and amused that Charlie just laid down behind my stool and slept through it all. No surprises to me – he has done the same through me practicing, band rehearsals and even on gigs, for years.

Wonderful pics Cliff. Thanks for posting them, I'm sure you had a great time with Kelly. My old bassett hound use to sleep through my practice sessions. Maybe he was bored of my drumming!

Greg,

"Dirils" are the new set of cymbals made by Ibrahim Diril.

They are the ones I brought on this trip.

Goki,

There is a noticeable difference in sound and feel compared to day one.

Unfortunately, no sound files were created.
:(

And as always, a super super great time.
Lots of pictures to follow and a few stories. The pics are slow moving from my camera to my comp. So here are a few...love these pics.

Crap! I should have looked around before I posted. Thought you would still be on the road.
Okay...I'll move mine over here.
One quick comment about those Dirils: Those things WERE made for him. I really don't think anyone else could make music on those like he can.

*Done. Merged em.

Thanks Greg. Could have done this for days.

Goki...on the look out for two more knobs. And if you see any black SClass Pro orphans let me know.

Great photos, guys, and looks like a great time.

Kelly, I've got a whole kit full of knobs for sale. Drums come FREE with 'em. :)
