Next thing You know, a seller would be able to offer his 3 month old drum set, before even buying it in the store:

Already been done. When I was selling a car on Ebay, a German bidder put up his own auction selling my car, using my photos, while my auction was ongoing.

I guess, out of concern for his neighbors, he wanted to give them two chances to buy my car.
