Just got notice that Lily has permanent resident status. Two years, ten grand, five hundred miles, redundant tasks, professional incompetence ... but it's done.

What a load off our backs! Celebration soon. Can we hire Johnny to entertain? He can fly here.

Provided there is nothing in the fine print that goes along with this (like incarceration), then this is a pleasure and a relief for everyone following the situation!

Does 'permanent resident status' mean she can't ever leave?
