Post subject:  A reminder on philosophy...

I have been seeing, and in some cases, participating as a member in strings that leave me feeling that a minor re-iteration of philosophy might be in order.

There are really only two important rules that apply to members here, and they are:

1) Post with civility, whether (i) as initial poster or responder, and, (ii) to agree or disagree. Topics imported from other forums are welcome, and if they are brought here, content is fair game for discussion. The same rules applies.

2) Apply an adult level or tolerance to what you read, see, and/or hear. People are expressing opinion, and you may be anything from totally uninterested to diametrically opposed. That's ok; either ignore it, or see rule 1.

If the second is too much of a challenge, the door you came in through works as well for grand exits as it does for daily use. If you leave on your own, you are probably welcome back.

If the first is too much of a challenge for you, that can be fixed, and you won’t need to do anything.

Anyone that feels strongly that they need to apply a ‘one or the other’ attitude to this and any other forum probably ought to choose the other.

Kelly and Greg are moderators here with the full faith and confidence of the board, including their willingness and ability to be objective and introspective.

This is what I like: Rules with wit. When have you ever laughed out loud when reading the rule book?

Time for a reminder.
This place is getting totally out of hand.
