Ah, so Goki actually voted. Sorry, buddy, I had no way to know who registers a vote; can just see the results.

Rob's idea for a prize is a good one. Prizes awarded for for first place through last runner-up. ;)

Sample A is the four mic mix; Sample B is the close mic mix.

All kidding aside, thanks for the comments and observations. I was a little nervous about working 'outside my comfort zone' in terms of usual process and equipment, and if the four mic set-up works well enough that you guys don't object, I am pretty comfortable.

This is my first drum related competition - HURRAY!!!


Kidding aside Cliff - the China and cymbals in general were the one thing I was focused on while listening. When it's a close mic setup - the cymbal sound is just a bit different...
