I was looking at that Goki. Thought the grain was close enough to my Designers to make a floor tom out of it.
But...I'm going to be more patient, I can't take on another project.
I think a lot of guys will try and make snares out of it.

Possibly a factory reject, taken home and never utilized. I believe that's what "sorted out of the named deficiencies at that time of Sonor" means...

Crude translation from Google ( "boiler" is an hilarious term)

To the auction, a Sonor signature Buginga raw boiler in the size 14 stands" x 14" how portrayed. The boiler is without borings.

To Erwähnuen, following is: At a place (see photo), the Funier is damaged within the boiler, what has to be sure no effect on the Kesselgratung.

At two other places (other photo) the Funier easily is damaged outside of the boiler. Here there is effect on the Kesselgratung to not to mention especially badly, but on jedenfall. (one of the 2 places is so small, that I it unfortunately with my camera do not catch can)

Otherwise there is a couple of use traces. The drum was sorted out out of the named deficiencies at that time of Sonor.

I wanted to divide long time the boiler and wanted to construct 2 Snares from that. Now the boiler has seen however for years only around and perhaps there is an interested handicraft enthusiast.

Is to be said importantly to me, go described had that I so well it the lack of the boiler and know should the buyer that the boilers to reach, around a perfect Gratung, overtakes will must. For that there is meanwhile some good & favorable suppliers in the network.

According to my opinion the boilers are & the Gratungen in spite of the small deficiencies however s how it is to be utilized.

Should even further questions be, would ask mailt me

Private auction, no guarantee exchange or withdrawal.

I remember this gentleman from the Sonormuseum. As I recall, he was Gretsch player who was considering SQ2's. There were several different clips posted by a number of guys (including Dana), and a lot on interesting discussion around them.

Do you know if he did ever buy a Sonor kit?
