Howdy,

I've got more nice snare drums than I have time to play. I've decided to sell off a lot of them that aren't getting much kit time.

1980s Sonor D518, Ferro Hoops, factory white wrap over 14 x 8" deep 9ply beech shell, Silver Badge, Excellent condition. $400.00 plus actual shipping.

1990s Sonor SY1405, Brass Shell with vintage-style Single Flanged Hoops w/clips, Tune Safe, Chrome All-Metal Throw Off and Matching Adjustable Butt. Drum is like new! $600.00 plus actual shipping.

Ludwig Black Beauty, 6 1/2 x 14, Date Stamped August 1st 2011. Triple Flanged Hoops, Tube Lugs, Millenium Throw/Cast butt. Friend wanted advice about the Black Beauty. I suggested a plain-Jane drum with Imperial lugs and a P85 throw. I found him one on the internet that just happened to be for sale by a friend and retailer local to me. He bought a tube-lug drum and had the retailer install a P86. When he got it, he decided he really didn't like anything without a Sonor badge on it and attempted to return it. The retailer eventually told him to pound sand. I ended up feeling bad about the whole thing and wound up with the drum. Played a total of five times. $500.00 plus actual shipping.

PayPal Gift, Check or Money Order.

Will gladly take and email pictures to interested buyers.

Please PM with email address.

Thanks,
:ugeek: Brian

I think that's what makes the final designation an 8, David.

:D Dunno. Never measured. In Lites and Phonices a 557 is 7.25 deep (all Lites), a 505 is 5.75 deep, and a 516 is 6.5, 508 (steel) or 518 (wood) are 8 deep. Signatures got a different system, if there was any system to it at all.

Yes Sir, it's an 8" deep beech shell. I think of it as a working man's Signature; The ferromanganese hoops and the Throw Off make for a more open sound.

Thanks,
