My brothers and s....well..brothers.
Been sick all week...benefit of having a 3 year old. Missed work last Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
And been dealing with some personal legal issues. All is well....life goes on.
Hi folks...
I think the wave of the future for me is going to be Mapex. Been studying, researching, listening and reading. Stuff is getting rave reviews, looks amazing and priced comfortably. Orion or Saturns are the top kits. Looking forward to taking possession of one. As soon as I get some other things in order.

Saturns all the way! That ply of walnut really makes a difference. I actually much prefer them to the (apparently higher spec) Orions. You can pick the Saturns up for peanuts second hand as well.

cdan...awsome. EVERYWHERE I read they say the same thing. Even the Pros are favoring the Saturns.
I'm gonna have one made.

Cliff...it will be the SClass Pro's. The Designers are set to leave on Monday. I'll have you all mic'd up though :D

From what I've heard with crappy headphones - the set sounds AMAZING live...

And the price - no comment on how much one saves!!!

One thing to remember about Mapex Orions: They use the same basic shell as the Pro-M and it's successor with an exotic outer veneer and slightly better onboard hardware. (There was a massive debate about this, and the Mapex rep in the UK basically confirmed it) IMHO, not worth the massive price increase for what you get.

Mapex Saturns are nice, but I know quite a few people who have traded eventually Saturns against Sonor Delites. To me, that says something about the Delites versus the Saturns.
