Agreed on all counts. Just my standard knee-jerk reaction when I'm not playing with anyone. Always feel like a poor drummer when not actually engaged. But Lily and I started on a song list this morning, so there's hope! :D

Watched this DVD tonight... or a part of it: there is a choice of camera angles, each concentrating on one or another musician. I watched Dejohnette, naturally. I didn't so much like listening to the CD, but I was rapt watching JD. What a treat.
