Thing is I traded them in on Xmas eve for these!!!

Bit of work to be done stripping the INSANE painted hoops on the kick. Why would somebody do that?!?! Perfect Birdseye veneer below it!

Amazing set of drums but I will miss the Mapex.

The green jobs didn't do much for me, but the Designers are beauts. Fantastic!

Can't answer for the hoops, although contrasting hoops can be attractive. Sizes? How did you get that studio shot? Not the usual house-bound snapshot.

Great - another fantastic Designer set in good hands!!!

Congratulations - I'm sure Mapex sound great, but You did the right job here... ;)

Suggestion - please don't rename this Board to www.onDesignerdrums.net... :geek:
I don't plan on getting a set soon, but I enjoy the company, and am very proud to have such friends...

Thanks guys!

The 'Studio' pic was the photo my local drum shop took of them before I bought them. I walked in to buy a hardware case and turned round from the cash desk and there they were. INSTANT love at first sight

Had the hoops in the bath for a few hours with some wet and dry sand paper and they are coming up a treat. Just need to apply a nice coat of Lacquer and that should do it :)

These drums are awesome!!!

I agree Goki it was the right and only thing to do!

Hi Tim,

Not even touched them yet as I have been stripping the awful paint of the kick hoops the last few days. That's them now lacquered and ready to go back on so will let you know what I think of them after giving them a bash! Beautiful drums!
