Hey, Kelly, looks like a nice kit. Premier builds serious drums. I know you're on a counter-Sonor trend right now, and nothing particularly wrong with that any more than there is in being all pro-Sonor, within reason. If you are just tired of the Sonor sound, then other equipment may be an answer.

One thing I have noticed about Not-Sonor drums: every time I get around them, they make me appreciate what Sonor has done, as far as engineering and manufacturing of the hardware, at least while Sonor was actually doing it. And I happen to love the sound.

Good sizes, good looking, and no doubt good sounding. Good luck getting it and have you tried to get it for less?

I'm a firm believer in....her heyday is over.
Honestly though...after owning just about EVERYTHING Sonor has ever built, with the exception of Designers (no longer made) SClass Pro's (no longer made) and SClassix (the only thing Sonor has going for it right now), I'm over everything else and others have caught up, several have flown right on by.
Sonor the drum, Sonor the company, Sonor the forum, Sonor the customer service, Sonor arrogance, Sonor pricing, Sonor veneer....PFFT
I honestly can't stand the sound of Link era drums anymore. I appreciate what they are but don't want/can't play them. It's an unjustice to my musical ear.
I'm still addicted to pedigree though. Like my kits to be unique to an extent. This kit fits that bill perfectly.
I really like the look of it and 6mil Maple shells is just about what I would look for.

Yes, I did try to get them cheaper and he tried to get more for them. That is a negotiated price. It's California though so shipping is going to suck.

Now just keep the damn things until at least Thanksgiving, so I can see them and play them.

Yo Tim. Really, that wasn't funny, no really. Thanksgiving..that's a stretch.
Actually no rings is a major plus for me on these. Hardly think I would be going for it if it had them. Just a really bad Delite experience.


This is the second night in a row the guy buying my cabinets has not shown up. Yes I'm looking for other buyers and this seller seems to be a nice guy and patient but I have asked him not to wait.

The signias w/rings sound more like old luddies/slingerlands but with a little more punch. Dig that sound.

That's just what they do for Delites. But hell they need a volume knob. The tone, projection, everything about them is so weak. Felt like I got half a drumset.

Not sure what you offered him, Kel, but he blew a chance to sell them at a good price. I have followed sales of Signias and Genistas for years, and he ain't gonna get his money at that price IMO. Not with $250 shipping tacked on.

I was looking for a 20x18" BD 'cause as I get older I like to play smaller drums and I have trouble putting a 9" or 10" depth tom on top of a 22" BD. My favorite BD now is an 18x18 Gretsch and it sounds like a "big" little cannon. Too small for big clubs but awesome for everything else.
