So, I've locked in an offer with the gentlemen selling this kit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... _500wt_949

I know it's an older Force Custom but is $900 shipped a decent price?

It seems to be in great shape and, from what I've experienced, the older Force models have a much better sound than the "newer" low-end Force models...

Hey Justin,

You are buying from one of the best sellers in the market as well.

Lane is a very decent and honest guy, whom I met through a purchase transaction, and consider a friend.

Good luck, and enjoy the kit.

Cliff,

Thanks for the "vouch"! It's always reassuring to know that you're buying from a reputable person. I'll let Lane know you put in a good word!

Justin

I have no idea about the value of that kit, but I'll bet it sounds great and I have no doubt that Lane would put a fair price to it. Looking forward to hearing your reaction to it.

That is one beautiful kit Justin - I certainly would be proud to have such a kit as a set for gigs...

It looks beautiful, and I'm sure it's better than the new Limited Sonor Bop set (Force 1007).

Well....

She's mine now! haha

Lane was straight-forward and a pleasure to do business with.

Kit will be shipped tomorrow or Tuesday.

The 18" kick drum is just SO well suited for jazz...it's got great control and, after hearing Gregory's set, I was convinced I needed a bop kit for my jazz gigs (rather than just converting a rock kit).

Anyhow, when my spring classes finish I'll get pics of both the Designer and the new bop set up. I've just been overloaded with these accelerated courses (writing intensive no less....blah!).

Also, Thanks for the congrats, Goki!
