Dunno, but I like the four piece look, too. I guess it just looks classic.

No, no mics. Not a noisy bar crowd, and just acoustic carried very well. Backed up against that much glass probably did not hurt, too.

Is that your Signature deep snare? IMO a deep snare with a bop kit looks a little strange, but the sound is what matters the most.

In fact it sounds a bit strange in most cases, but strangely enough not with a Designer bop. Go figure.

Hey Greg,

That snare is a bubinga 14x8 vintage maple, badged as a Designer.

I guess it depends on what you get used to. Before I stared using them, 8's looked odd with anything, or all by themselves.

Now a shallow snare looks unusual to me.
