Wonderful images. I particularly like the nearly profile view of the third tom. The "P" glows red as if it were a holographic image superimposed on the Signia badge. I am sure they will sound great with new heads. Thanks for sharing!

I remember when those blue oil-filled heads first appeared. I immediately had to put a set on my blue "Rogers" set. I tried to convince myself for the longest time that they sounded great. My rule of thumb up to that time had been to change heads when the first head in a set broke. :o I never broke one of those heads. But I thought they looked soooo coool.

They do smell good, like a bit of lacquer and old wood.

Roland, now I see what you mean...yes cool like a hologram...must have designed it that way too. :)

I'm waiting on heads, gonna try clear G2's on top and clear G1's on bottom. Haven't played Evans in some years. We'll see if the double ply heads are live enough.

Nice, Hale.

Consider trying the Evans G Plus (12 mil single ply).

Fattens things up just a bit without going to a two ply sound and feel.

Cliff you like them? I did consider them but availability was a bit of an issue at the time.

I'm def a rock guy so I went with clear G2's based on my experience with the Emperor line and the Aquarian Double Thin.
Last time I ran G2's was on Maple Customs and they sounded great.

Congratulations on the purchase Hale - they certainly look magnificent...
I don't need to remind You that we also need to see a picture of the kit set up... ;)

Fantastic - the Signia friendship is spreading... :)

Great pics Hale....especially like the one of the Hydraulic!

Yeah, Kel's right. The interiors are really cool & those reinforcement rings are something to behold in person.

I've found Emps to be a little more lively on my kits than G2's (which usually are a bit more "thuddy" to my ear). Tried the G Plus heads too which sounded good out of the box. I'm a pretty heavy hitter though, so wasn't long before I turned em into rice bowls.

Can't wait to see them when they're set up!
