Heat lock is a heat activated glue that is used for curved pieces. So that info on it says. You roll or brush it on both veneer and the wood etc... allow it to dry and then use an iron to activate it. It dries very quickly and doesn't need any clamping(though i used a strap clamp to do the outside of my hoops. This stuff really did the trick and was very easy to use. No bleed through of my paperbacked veneer. (i'm not sure if that is what i would use on a drum shell though).

Here is a link to Heat Lock http://www.veneersupplies.com/products/ ... -Glue.html

About the annonymous person, that was his request so that he didn't get swamped by guys to do charity work. He was very kind in helping me and made the veneer for me after sending me samples of what i would like to use. I tried very hard to compensate him for his time, materials, and shipping but he refused. His knowledge is greatly appreciated and out of respect i will honor his request. No big conspiracy here...

Gary.

Interesting, Gary. Looks like a useful product. Unfortunately it is water base and will render veneer tape unusable.
