I've never seen a 'wanted' ad on ebay before. Is that a regular feature? That would be Jorge Pabela, who was selling the trubinga Designer floor tom on ebay a week ago. Nice fellow... and creative.

This is hilarious,
I was just emailing Jorge about something else and he mentioned he wanted one of these, so I came here to post it and you guys are already on it.

I know there are two sitting on shelves on this forum, if you don't want it he would love to have it.
Let me know

 Tim, Jorge has already rummaged both of our shelves, but he didn't find the engineered version, which is what he wants, resting on either of them. I began the discussion with him two months ago, and when it was finally resolved that he needed the engineered piece and that I didn't have it, I forwarded him to the other shelf, with the same result. The ad is the act of a desperate and creative man. I like his audacity, and wonder if he might start a trend, and what ebay will think of that.

Desperate maybe, but not that radical. ;) I've seen wanted ads on ebay on and off for 10 years. I have no idea how successful they are though.

First one I ever saw. But it makes sense, and if ebay doesn't shut it down, it costs nothing, as far as I can tell.
