I like looking at stuff, reading up on stuff, maybe even dream about some stuff.
But I sure appreciate the sanity on this forum.

I just want to know when 2900-4200 became a normal street price for drums. Maybe I am getting old, but I think Ludwig has something going right, have a quality kit for around 1500 for everyone to enjoy. They are like the VW of drums.

I do sympathize with Jules, there are no drum shops anymore, so he cant just go in and ask salespeople and customers their opinions, so he has to do it on the forum.

I dunno Tim, I learn by listening/reading.
Not directed at anyone in particular, some just like to talk just to be heard. Common on a forum.

I agree. When you load up a forum page and under the last post section only one name appears in EVERY subject IMO it's just wanting to be heard. Now if you have knowledge of every subject and have something worth posting in them all then fair enough but just mindless ramblings..... :?

Top Gear, Episode 283. Sharp set gets lost in Germany, but eventually finds the bread-crumb trail. The cool young things meet Hansi and Gretel, cuckoo-clock makers. Machines whir and click as only German machines can, including the rubber stamp. In spite of German efficiency, it still takes a week to apply thepaint, but difficulties in German to English translation can always be cited. Gene Wilder says, "Respect."

I don't get it... :?

On the SONOR site, they now offer DELITE, PROLITE and S Classix (9 series total, counting the SQ2).
So, where's the talk that the Delites and S Classix are being discontinued?!?
OK, for the Delite it is obvious, since the PROLITE is the same shell, but I didn't manage to find any info about discontinuing the birch line.
Also, I don't see the Beech Infinitive any more...

These are "dark times"... I would appreciate getting clear information...

There will be No Delite or SClassix. I just ordered 2 SClassix drums from the run out of 'existing stock', then the usual 12months or so of custom orders will be available.
You should have another year to order Goki ;)

One fellow has converted the New Sonor talk section into an advertisement platform for his business. In his thread, he states that Classix will be available until December of 2013, which sounds like two years from now, assuming that he got his numbers right:

Are they discontinuing the s-classix? That wouldn't make much sense..
