The Retrosonic snare really looked like a killer snare in their line up last year.
This looked impressive until all the details rolled out.
No idea what they are thinking. Can't see that going anywhere.

While I was there though, I found a really old video of Virgil on a Sonor kit:

Which details make it unappealing, Kel? I mean, I'm not interested in a 22 kick, but nothing else about the kit seems prohibitive. Limited numbers may make the price unappealing. But it is good looking, at least in video.

I agree with Goki it looks real nice but......they don't sound good to my ears at all. I know it's just the camera mics picking it up but just sounds a bit dull to me. I loved the Mapex Meridian Maple kit I had and it was the most bright sounding kit I've ever played and that was with pinstripes on! Would like a shot on these for sure.
