Great outlay! Noticed the pancake Lite behind the double bass kit. How does that drum stack up, and what are you using for heads?

Guys,
Thanks for the kind replies! I'm getting ready to sell off a couple of my seldom played Sonor and Ludwig snares to buy my Sig back from Tim and a Designer from Gregory. I decided to test my 3 year old Lumix 7 megapixel camera to see if the pix were any good. I have to concede that (at least in my drum room) the digital flash is just terrible on it, and that the pics I can take with my iPhone 4s are vastly superior. I've been threatening to post some pix for some time, but I promise to take better photos soon.

Latz,
You made me notice that there is not a single Sonorlite badge showing on the double bass kit, but they're all CL Sonorlites. The original kit was New Old Stock at a store local to me and included the aforementioned , 13 & 14 toms, 16 & 18 Floor toms, and 2 22" bass drums. I got the rest of the lites one at a time from various sources. Most notably, Goki found the 8" tom on eBay DE for me and helped me get it via Peter Sagerer who, for a nominal fee, bid, won and shipped me the drum.

The double bass kit is the ld400 and ld547x snare drums, 8, 10, 12, 15FT and 18FT, and 2 22" bass drums, Paiste cymbals, and other oddities, like a homemade timbale-tom made of machined aluminum and black anodized.

The single bass kit is a Signature cast bronze 6 1/2 x 14 (HLD-596) snare, 13" rack tom, 16 & 18" floor toms and a 24" bass drum, Paiste cymbals, and another homemade timbale-tom made of machined aluminum and black anodized.

Gregory,
That's an LD400 Sonorlite with a Jack DeJohnette batter and an Ambassador snare side. The drum has a nice bark when tuned low for a snare. Credit for the head selection (and low batter tension) goes to Mark Daus, who bought this one and the NOS LD547x from me and sold them back a year or so later. I had never found the voice for that drum, but Mark did. Made me glad I sold it (and got it back!)

I'll be posting some iPhone photos of the (at least 4) drums (I'm going to sell) later on tonight. Don't really want to do eBay if I don't have to.

All the Best,
:ugeek: Brian
