There are stick magicians out there, and there are performers, and there are great drummers, and there are great musicians; but it is rare to see them all in the same person. I love watching the stick reversals, which happen so smoothly as to be almost invisible, @ 0:58, 1:33, 1:55, and 2:07

Don't know about the snare, Goki. The Sonny Paine link is fantastic. I wonder if he expected to lose that many sticks (obviously, he had extras)? I don't know much about him, but he sure could play,keeping the beat even as the sticks went into orbit, or, as it appears, when the stick got lodged under his bass pedal. I hate that! :oops: :P :oops:

WOW! So fluid and smooth, don't care for the music. Jo Jones was one of a kind for sure. Thanks for posting this Gregory.
