Yeah, I get all emotional with mine. Especially when I have to pack or unpack boxes. I just wanna cry.
Or change frigging heads.

I enjoyed that read Chris. And very happy you are healing.
Interesting topic. I ponder all the years of drumming and drum kits I've owned. Honestly can't think of one that I emotionally couldn't let go of or want back.
Some for the way they sounded, yes. I am emotionally attached to a certain sound (certain models) and some kits are "made on a Wednesday". My one SClass Pro kit was drenched in mojo. Kit was magic. Would take that back in a heart beat.
I rarely look back though. Right now Signia's are it for me though I would like another SClass kit. Don't think I would like one more than the other though, they both have very different voices that I really connect with.

Side note: As an ex Sonor link era collector, some of the very rare stuff I had, I find there was a certain emotional attachment, but obviously from a collector standpoint. I really don't have an ounce of collector in me anymore. Now, if I can't play it, I can't own it.
