Which is probably why the second generation stand was reverted to the Signature prism block. The Signature stand itself is no good, because 1) the legs are static; heavy toms require a leg under the center of gravity of each drum to be stable, and 2) the bottom clamp is too high. The second generation Designer stand solves both of those problems, while retaining the solidity of the prism.
