Too bad it suffered harsh times - it was destroyed in wars, turned into a mosque (all the frescoes covered with molter and bell tower destroyed), even turned into a military gunpowder storage. Lucky for us, it didn't have the same faith as the Acropolis...
All in all - a fantastic place where one can experience spiritual enlightenment...
