Kelly,

What was your problem with the Gplus? I never tried them so I am just curious. The G14's look interesting. I could be tempted.

I don't see that as a problem, they were all Sonor kits.

Roland, GPlus is a great idea. They don't work on everything especially if you are a hard hitter like me. But I can see them filling a gap for some and being a great head. The problem with them, you can't frigging buy them, anywhere. No one carries them and internet places have dried up for them. I don't like chasing crap I need.
My same fear with these G14's. Would love to try them but so far, the most convienant place for me to get them is Guitar Center, and they don't stock them, they have to be ordered. Which just wreaks of a short life expectancy.

I pay little attention to soundfile's and reviews, but both aren't favorable on these from what I see. That wouldn't stop me though.

G14 and G Plus are available through Interstate Music, sizes 6 through 20.

Many stores don't carry a wide selection of Evans. I'd like to try a G 14 on snare, I've been enjoying clear EC 2's as of late. Very durable, and fit the genre of music I'm currently playing.
Kelly. Have you ever tried the clear G2's? I'm going to try them for my next tom head change around the Christmas holidays.

I have Greg. I ran through them all pretty much. None of the EC's or G series have excited me.
So far not budging off my Emps. Sooner or later I'll try this G14 but I'm only half interested.

Kelly. What are the sonic differences between clear G2's and clear Emperors? I thought they'd be the same.
