Got my digital back from DD today. Steve Fischer simply sent me a new one, and the numbers now align with the readings from my analog version, vis-a-vis objective tuning. At the same time he wrote:

      Update on the digital upgrades:
I couldn't get licensing from the original company for the LCD back
light. I have since worked out a deal with a different manufacturer. I
hope to be in production with the new digital's in about 6 months. The
higher resolution will also be included.

      Best wishes,
      Steve Fischer

This sounds great. Back-lit digital with heightened increments (10ths of the current set) will make for an optimal readout.

Sounds like it is worth waiting for.

Will you get an 'upgrade option'?

I've had my tune-bot for a few days now, I like it better than my DD. But, I'm glad I won it because it's not worth $100.00. If I had to pay for it, I'd stay with my DD.
Greg, could you post some of your DD settings? I still love the 75 bottom 90 top for snare. The infamous Clifford Setting.

If I have the money. The gaps between resolution points is too large on the current model; although one can learn to navigate, I prefer current digital points over dead reckoning.

Check out Cliff's numbers posted early on, Greg. Fourths and fifths.
