I struggle with that level of minutiae. I am such a "just pull out a screwdriver or a quarter" kind of guy. Of course, I understand that would be blasphemous to some people.

I think this is a typical case of lazy/uneducated tight ass drummer syndrome. He searched on ebay and found something, yet doesn't like the price. Instead of doing more research, he asks on a forum to help. And drummers wonder why they get stereotyped...
