I Love your Designers a lot, Kelly. But your Q's were tits!

I miss virtually everything I've sold over the last couple of years, but I unfortunately realize the sales make room for new stuff! In my basement, I've got three acoustic kits* set up as well as my electronics. I'm considering (Really vacillating. I am only mentioning this here, I haven't even told Audrey yet!)) selling one of my Lite kits, as I'm finding it difficult to justify (to myself) having so many drums!

CL Lite kit #1: 8, 10, 12, 15FT, 18FT, 22BD (x2) LD547xx, All Signature hardware

CL Lite Kit#2: 13, 16, 18, 24BD, D518xx, All Signature hardware

Extra Lites: 13, 14

Ludwig Classic in custom Polar Ice Marine Pearl: 10, 12, 14FT, 16FT, 16x24, Joyful Noise Drum Company NOB Standard #1 (6.5x14)

I'll keep the Ludwigs, if only for gigs. I hadn't played them in four years, but once they were set up, they felt really good. But, I haven't figured out what I'll keep and what I'll sell of the Lites.

:ugeek: Brian

Now we're talking :D

Yeah..I do miss them. But like Brian says, I miss them all. Was thinking about this yesterday and I think the kit I miss the most is my Sig Ebony kit. I think mostly because of it's rarity, and it was NOS and it was playable for me at that time, unlike other kits I was collecting.
Though I can't play Sigs anymore or lites for that matter the collector in me sometimes rages and sometimes sways me.

At this age with a family and bills to pay it troubled me having a 10K plus kit sitting there. (SQ's referring to) Back of my mind was always thinking the money could go to good use towards family needs.

But then I think I had way over that in several kits awhile back. Seemed easier though with it divied up. And I was single then.

I just don't have the energy anymore to keep up with multiple kits anyway. Part of the reason I sold a lot of my link kits was because maintenance got to be a chore rather than an enjoyment. And I hated watching the stuff get neglected.
I got some SClass Pros coming which thrills me. I'll go on record (again) and state "My all time favorite sounding Sonor kit". I don't mind having a couple kits that I will play and get use out of.
Wish I would have kept that giant Aqua Green SClass Pro kit I sold.
The look of my Designers (Sig veneer) keeps the collector rage tame a bit. For now anyway.
But look out if I ever run into big bucks :D

See the Scandi shell in the bubinga pics?
NOS 14 x 8 Signature Scandi shell. The very last Sig shell Sonor ever made.
I know because they made it for me. And asked if I wanted anything else before they took the equipment down. When I said "no" they said "done...forever"
They made me a heavy shell originally but it came with a crack in it. I sent it back and they said they did not want to attempt it again and offered to make me a lite shell. That is the shell in the picture. Piece of history. In the hands of a collector now. Got better pics of it home.
I never did ask if they changed the wood type when the made it a lite or is it actually lite beech.
