So I was cleaning out the garage last weekend and decided to dig out and snap some pics of my snares. In the process I realize they desperately need a good cleaning..

Nice collection, but cleaning out the garage and dig out.....What a waste. Those animals should be played. Sorry, but this makes me sad.

Ah hihat....joy killer. There is a joy in owning such beauties.
There is a cleaning season, a playing season and a storage season. All have some form of satisfaction.
I personally am enjoying the playing season right now, having gone through the sell season. One day I'll probably venture back into the collecting season. No idea.

Loved the title of this thread! lmao

Sorry about that, it was an impulsive reaction. Next time I'll count to 10.

I've had long periods when my drums lived in the closet. But right now, I'm on the road for Thanksgiving and missing my drums.

Nice collection of snares, Lutz! :) Could indeed use some cleaning.

The only thing to be sad about is that they are dirty. Dirty from being played.. alot!

When I said 'dig out' I was referring to having to take each one out of its case, set them in a pose, take pic.... they are in cases because I use them, not on display. I didn't even photo the case for the 590. Single ATA with a Reunion Blues Leather bag inside to keep it warm and fuzzy..

I appreciate the sentiments, tho....

Thanks everyone, here's the specs..

Well the first is most of the cases obviously. The ATA case is what I carried on the road.

Second pic, Left to right: HLD 590, 596, 593

Third pic shows the ATA open

Fourth pic, L 2 R:
6.5 x 14 Ludwig hammered Bronze with twin channel Die cast hoops,
6.5 x 14 Goetz Segmented purpleheart with 24k gold hardware (this is the first shell I made for myself)
6x14 Sonor Sig Bronze is it a 596? I really don't know the model, shame on me..
6.5x14 Goetz 8-ply Keller with die cast (Second drum I made for myself)
7x14 Goetz Segmented Cocobola w/ die cast

Fifth pic:
8x14 Goetz Segmented Tulipwood
6.5x14 Pearl Free Floater
3.5x13 Goetz 10-ply Keller piccolo
8x14 Ludwig 6-ply Coliseum with aluminum die cast
7x13 Goetz 10-ply Keller
6.5x14 Slingerland..

Sixth pic:
6.5x14 Ludwig CS Custom Elite 8 ply birch
5x14 Ludwig Standard 3ply w/ die cast
5x14 Ludwig Acrolite (my first drum ever)
5x14 Tama King Beat

I should mention that around 15 years ago I worked with a guy making drums and in his drum shop. His name was Goetz, hence all of the badges. I am coming out with my own badge and debating on re-branding these..

Hey, Lutz. Just a badge, or is there a business associated with the badge?
