Greg, is th 8" tom slightly off color than the rest of the kit? It looks dark brownish more than the rest of the kit. Maybe it's the lighting, or my 40 something year old eyes!

What 8" tom? :|

And if You use an Ebony Pinstripe - it should be enough!!! No need for a wood cover (top and bottom)  :geek: :geek:

Just let me know the durometer numbers, and I'll get right on it. :D

I doubt the drumdial will show different readings on wood and on Ebony pinstripe Gregory...
I tested one on my friend's bass drum - like placing a pedal in the corner and hitting the wall... :(

...back to topic...

Could we be honored with a group photo of BOTH of your Designer sets?!?

I would very much love to see that happen, with You sitting in the middle, of course!!! :)

Not yet, apparently. :) But here's two with the latest cymbal configuration and... Kelly, can you see the bass drum yet?

Greg for God's sake get down on you hands and knees with that little allen key and align your beaters on that GS pedal, it's so distracting, i can't even enjoy looking at the audience side pic knowing those beaters aren't set up right :P

Yah, that's the first thing I did, set them up to match..., and then spent a lot of time getting those beaters just so. When I sit at the kit, the heads come to the same angle, and when I come down on the hat, the left beater hits the bass simultaneously.

I have to laugh, because the 600 beaters are set up from the factory just like this, and it drove me crazy that they could not be adjusted. And now look!

Any way, I don't use them to make steady rolls on any of that sort of thing. They are just for quick accents, and - my feet seem to agree - this position works for me. :D

Actually, what I noticed is that the left and right foot don't always work the same way on the drums - just like the left and right hand, meaning that one foot always needs a bigger swing (to hit the head) than the other.
Hence, the pedal batters don't need to be positioned evenly...

I may be totally off course with this thinking, but it makes sense to me...

Hey I know you are sensitive about the Kick drum issue right now but I just wanted to point out you are missing the bell on your ride.
Whats up with that? You should send it back with a terse letter about quality control.

Ok I understand that Greg, personally both bass pedals have to work identically and I adjust the distance between the hats so impact point is the same.
Goki, unless you are playing traditional grip with your left foot I would say both feet should be the same, or at least as close as possible on a technical level. :D

Furthermore, I've learned not to trust the Swiss who put lots of air inside the cheese, but Canadians leaving holes in their cymbals? It's a riot of injustice.
