that is a 70's super sensitive black beauty, pretty highly sought after drum. They go between 500 and 1000 usd depending on how much someone wants one when the bidding is ending. If you can get it for a good price go for it, you will never lose money on them, plus they sound great!

Somebody's got a spelling problem. I'd give it a pass, just based upon the guy's inability to write the Queen's English. Here, by contrast, is a guy who knows how to use many words on loan to us from Her Majesty. Maybe you'd prefer this Slingerland Black Beauty?

Goki,
Definitely a painted (formerly chrome over aluminum) 70's Ludwig Supersensitive. Definitely NOT a Black Beauty...
I've owned quite a few Supersensitives, most notably a 1928 Chrome (not Nickel) over brass that has WFL IIs signature inside from Barrett Deems' collection. I can honestly say I didn't like the sound of any of them. Of the black drum's comtemporaries, I prefer the Supraphonic 400s and 402s. Of the vintage drums, I like the NOB Standards. I sold my last Standard, (a 1919 6 1/2 x 14) after I got my LD547 and my Joyful Noise Drum Company Standard #001. The only vintage Ludwig snare drum I still own is a 1941 WMP 7x14.
My advice is to avoid Supersensitive snares, particularly if it's used, painted, and especially if you live in the ROM! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Exactly my point!!! A friend of mine wanted to get it, but now I'll be twice as persistent in letting him know it's not worth it...

Plus, the seller plays hot-cold...
First, he told us the snare costs 250euro, and now he wants 400euro...

I hate guys like that - make a price and stick to it (or lower it), don't do the "judging by your voice, I'd say the price is" routine...

That Drum is not worth 100 Euro! I wouldn't buy anything from that guy!
