I really need to come up with some sort of riser, but for an additional reason; My carpet in the drum room has really thick padding, and it seems to affect pedal action, particularly with pedals that have baseplates.

To clarify my pedal problem: I have my Sonor spurs adjusted to the bass drum's lowest level position with the front hoop down on the carpet, so the drum isn't jacked up in the front. When the bass drum pedal is played, the sponginess (is that a word?) of the carpet padding allows the front of the pedal plate to depress down into the carpet and forces the heel of the pedal to come up.

I am going to try 3/4 inch plywood directly under the kit to see if this will be a quick fix. My original plan was to use a 2x4 frame under plywood, but it seems that might cause unwanted riser resonance.

Yuk brother. That sounds like potential hoop damage too.

Wouldn't adjusting the spurs be an easier... No, never mind.

Why do you want the nose down?

Ditto. Great clip Kelly! Really digging your style and the whole arena rock vibe of that spacious room. Kit sounds great as well!

BTW, sorry I'm so late to the party.

Arena Rock, Indeed! I cannot believe what a huge sound you're getting in your basement!

Nice Drums... Nice playing, too! :D

Thanks men. Fun ain't it.
Actually I had just woken up from a nap and realizing the wife and daughter weren't home, I ran down there to get some time in. Pretty groggy playing. When I watched it I was waiting for me to fall off the chair.

The downstairs is great for playing but most of that sound is this freaking zoom recorder with different settings. Thing is killer. That is actually the "Arena" setting.

Hoping to get a Walnut video in soon, but all the company the last couple weeks has made me even more lethargic
