Advertised as from Elvin Jones' [sic]personal collection, NOS. Now, I'm as interested as the next guy in the cymbals a guy like Elvin Jones loved -even though I have no idea what his preferences were; but a cymbal that he owned but didn't play seems to me to fall under the heading of Elvin Jones's rejects. Kinda hard to rouse a lot of interest. Still, it might be an interesting collection, if you could get enough of them together in one place, "Cymbals the Great Players Didn't Like." Might be instructive. 8-)

I'm not sure, coorrect me if I'm wrong. :? But I'd assume the Cymbals provided for such a musician would be of an exceptional standard, perhaps not to HIS exact taste, yet they would be crafted to represent the product at its highest calibre. :| From a marketing point of view.

Duno, Jeff.

Could be prototypes of a new idea, not necessarily a good one.

Could be shiny pie plates provided for a photo shoot.
:?

Maybe, Jeff. But Paiste never had a range between quality extremes. The only thing that is know for certain is that Elvin Jones didn't play this cymbal enough to leave stick marks.
