Here is another great one... http://austin.craigslist.org/msg/2825958915.html

Hey, he ordered it over the phone and it's not a Keller shell, so I think the $4,500 may be warranted.

I think my favorite may be the part about the stand.

            FIRM CASH ONLY!!! $4500.00 FIRM

            georgious

            absolutly blimish free.

It was ordered for me from Ray Ayotte personably ... and ordered with Ray over the phone.

This drum shell is not a Keller shell, it is a Original Ayotte shell, and made from Ray when he had only 2 other artitian drum makers working for him

            compleated

            begginer

            gym nasiums.

            sensative

            thunderess

the economy has forced this sale upon me and my family

I custom made a DR Low Boy snare stand for it, but I am keeping that, and had to cut the center post on stand to get the hight lower like, I like to play my snares.

            with a carring leather handel

            Serious musicians and inquiries only

8x14 is the max for me as far as looks go. They look badazz.
A 9x14 just looks really goofy. My first thought always is "did they take a tom and make a snare".

Don't forget... it's been "seasoned" for 17.5 years. I wonder what kind of marinade he uses?

"...Call Today 512.468.6339 Ask for JR only..."

Any one else in the house is just gonna say, "What, JR has a drum? I didn't know that."

Sad to say, but this 'stream of (semi-) consciousness writer' is from my area. Very popular around here are t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. imploring anyone interested to "Keep Austin Weird".

Kudos to one willing participant.

I enjoy the part about the wood being seasoned on the drum, each ply before the next one is applied. Sonor's unofficial PR wing needs to be apprised of this fact, for retroactive justification of the delay between order and delivery.

If you looked up the term "dipshit" in the dictionary, you'd find a photo of JR and his $4500.00 snare drum!
