Revisited the auction today: somebody hit BIN at $675. Good on him.

Two things were apparent at the start:

1) He may have bought the snare only four years ago, but the snare is much older than that. Glue-on badges haven't been around since I don't know when, so all that about four years, played very lightly, and living in bubble wrap in the spare bedroom is at best misdirection, made even more egregious by 2.

2) If you needed more proof that bubble wrap was not its normal home, this showed up in his response to a query: The existing snares "are not the original Sonor snare wires, those are new replacement snares that I put on because some of the original Sonor snares had broken."
