In some part of myself I can echo the moral outrage, but the question then becomes, if you buy something under its value in order to sell it for what (you think) its value is, are you a crook or a businessman?
I'd say businessman. I wouldn't say I'm morally outraged, maybe "derisively amused" would be a more apt characterization
.My approach is that, in most of my dealings with Sonorphiles,(luckily) they have been equal parts camaraderie and business transaction. For example, I can think of a certain gentleman who passed a Designer tom arm my way, at his cost, simply because I needed one to complete my set-up.
. My commentaries on kits, prices, etc. often stem from these types of experiences.
I'm not decrying capitalism or an endeavor undertaken, solely, with a profit motive in mind. I think my original post may have appeared that way. I approach Sonor dealings in an admittedly peculiar way, and don't expect that my paradigm or ethos are shared by many.
I would be hesitant to place
moral stipulations in a situation like this. But I will definitely say that
Caveat emptor definitely applies here.
